Reconstruction of the Thumb Web to Restore Function of the Amputated Thumb.

Abstract

|
Two cases of the hand injuries, which involved traumatic amputation of the thumb at the level of shaft or base of the proximal phalanx complicated with severe skin avulsion on the radial two third of volar and dorsal aspect of the hand were treated with deepening of the thumb web to restrore
function of the thumb at Orthopedic Department of National Medical Center.
The result of the treatment were satisfactory with pinching and grasping. These two cases were prsented with brief review of the relevant literatures.
